Tyre size parser
Tyres of the same size may have different markings. The most famous is American (inch 31x10.5R16) and European(Metric)., (*1)
Inch size specifies the height and width of the tire in inches and the inch size of the disk. For example 31x10.5R16., (*2)
In the second case the marking includes a width in millimeters, the height of the profile of the tire in percent inch disk size: 265/75R16, (*3)
In addition, a number of manufacturers mark light-truck, truck and pneumatic tires in a special way. So for example, in Interco company width and height are swapped for som tires (16x35-16 instead of the 35x16-16 Bogger tire B-119). A number of pneumatic wheels are marked with metric units, but do not indicate the profile: 1300x700-24 Some tires do not contain explicit information about the size of the marking for example Q78-15 or 160m., (*4)
This library helps to work with such a variety of markings. It can be used to create tire calculators or search the database of tires., (*5)
The Tyre size parser can be installed with Composer. Run this command:, (*6)
composer require gan4x4/tyresize
<?php
