Docker Compose Sentry For Use with NGINX/APACHE

Install the Application

You will need Docker and Composer installed on your machine., _(*1)

You will need another Docker container running NGINX to route your DNS to this install., _(*2)

Run this command from the directory in which you want to install your new Sentry Installation., _(*3)

composer create-project dev-pledge/sentry [my-app-name]

Replace [my-app-name] with the desired directory name for your new application., _(*4)

To set up sentry, _(*5)

make up

wait for containers to be made, _(*6)

make stop

make install

As the install runs you will need to create your email and passwords credentials - the install script will ask for them., _(*7)

To run the application in development, you can also run either of these command., _(*8)

make up

or if containers are already running, _(*9)

make start

you can now reference the docker external network 'global_sentry' and the service 'sentry:9000' in your other docker containers, _(*10)

You can also set up email notifications. Add these environment variables to each docker-compose.yml service environment sections., _(*11)

SENTRY_SERVER_EMAIL="sentry@my.domain"

SENTRY_EMAIL_PORT="587"
SENTRY_EMAIL_USER="postmaster@my.domain"
SENTRY_EMAIL_PASSWORD="pass"
SENTRY_EMAIL_USE_TLS="true"
SENTRY_SECRET_KEY="some_key"
